Skin On Flesh behind the new EP: "Terrible and Sad" is composed of three songs that talk about terrible and sad events. "Aquí Está Tu Pendeja" talks about a terrible scene within a love relationship, and "Se Perdió Mi Corazón (TITPTWHTM)" talks about how sad it is to fall in love and then lose that feeling. The music is inspired by emo punk rock from the mid-2000s, with a mix of Spanish and English lyrics.

We recorded this EP in Coyoacán, Ciudad de México (Arre Lulú Records) while we were visiting. We prepared four songs for "Terrible and Sad" in total, three of which will be self-released. The other song ("El Tiempo") will be featured in the new expansion of the video game Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

This release is special for us, as we had a rough couple of months in 2021, we had a lot of scorned stuff to put out. The following year, we ended some work relationships badly, lost most of our savings and Michi finished her master's degree writing her Rock Opera album (which was the hardest) before we left for Mexico for a month in September 2022, where we recorded "Terrible and Sad".

Andy's Panic (he/she/they) was going through a breakup while we were recording our songs in Mexico, so we let him write what he was feeling at the time and recorded "Se Perdió Mi Corazon". Andy's essence adds to the overall sadness of the song and we are glad that we provided an outlet for the feelings Andy was dealing with at the time. Our songs are a safe space for both ourselves and others who want to express their pent up emotions.
